Corporate Universities: Navigating Multiple Generations at Work

- Marcia L. Jackson
Owner and Principal Consultant, Training Resources.
Co-author of a facilitator’s guide to supplement Sharon Bowman’s book, Preventing Death by Lecture!
Have you ever found yourself looking at a co-worker and thinking” I just don’t get them!”? Have you considered that the disconnect may be caused by a generation gap? We know that when we understand another’s point of view, we are more successful in our relationships. This online, three-part certificate program explores the differences between the four generations in the workplace.
Each generation has its own set of values, shared experiences, comfort zones, work ethic and communication style. You will learn how to navigate the divides caused by these differences.
These fun and interactive sessions begin on September 17, 2009 and is designed for those who manage, train, or design for people from multiple generations.

After actively participating in this certificate program, you will be able to:
- Identify the characteristics of each generation.
- Describe the 3 factors that widen generation gaps.
- Develop solutions for generational issues in your organization.
- Motivate each generation appropriately.

This certificate consists of three live and online sessions of 1 hour each. Each session requires about ½ hour of pre-work.
